If you use the Shipping Department of your home institution, inform them that they need to include Sector 11, GUP, and PI information on the shipping label. To prevent loss, or mis-delivery, you must ensure that this information is on the outside of your package!

Shipping hazardous samples to the electrochemistry laboratory

If you intend to bring sample material to Argonne that is hazardous in any way, you must abide by the U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.  Failure to do so will result in cancelation of your beam time and you could be subject to U.S. DOT levied fines

Please review lithium batteries transport regulations. Kapton-window coin-cells are classified as damaged, prototype lithium metal cells as they do not pass required safety tests. For non-modified lithium metal coin-cells refer to GUIDE 6. In ether case, lithium-metal containing batteries are not allowed on passenger aircraft.
